So finally, finally, finally it’s happening in the year of the metal bunny - a year of understanding and abundance! I’m moving to China to do my research. I’m not sure just exactly how long I will be there for - but the minimum will be one year. (more details about my move here).

I can’t believe that I am actually doing this. A few years ago, I didn’t know if my grandmother’s health would give me the peace to make this month. But she’s recovered and she’s kickin thanks to my brother and mother.

When I found out last year that I received the Fulbright to China, I delayed it for a few months because of family stuff and I wasn’t sure if I could actually go. But now the delay has ended!

I finally pulled out suitcases in Brooklyn and started boxing all my stuff up.
This is making me terribly sad. I keep crying every time I look at them.
I just don’t feel that I’m ready to leave yet. This past year, I had all these realizations that I had to slow down. So I took care of myself for two months where I did nothing but dance, sleep and eat. And damn that felt great!

And then I spent 5 months writing like a mad person on crack - and was able to pass my field exams and become ABD! YEs I officially have my C. Phil now and MA in Sociology. So next step is phd in 2 years.! But now all I want to do is rest now. But….I have to move again.

So the good-byes will start now! But that doesn’t mean that I will be on radio silence.
